AASP: reliable audits, faster certification
The Alberta Association for Safety Partnerships (AASP) is a government-approved health and safety association and a COR certifying partner. It partnered with AuditSoft in March 2020 to streamline COR auditing, review and analysis.
- average COR audit turnaround (9.3 for certification, 13.1 for maintenance)
- 11.4days
- to onboard
- 6months
The challenge
Typical COR audits can take up to 45 days to perform and up to 21 days to write the report. Once submitted, the audit is reviewed and returned with recommendations that the auditor then has to implement.
A growing number of corporations in Alberta, and across Canada, expect contractors to hold a valid COR, so time to certification has a direct effect on a company's bottom line.
What changed
AuditSoft brought the COR audit into a single application and one workflow. Scores are calculated automatically, tracking flags any missed sections, and one click produces a professionally formatted PDF report.
Auditors can now send the final report electronically. AASP reviewers no longer have to sift through 100+ pages of paperwork, and auditors can upload and attach supporting documents to the questions they answer.
Results
AASP now delivers industry-leading turnaround times for COR audits: an average of 11.4 days in total, 9.3 days for certification audits and 13.1 days for maintenance audits.
Audit data is transformed into one standardized format, so AuditXchange can aggregate and analyze it. Members get a scorecard that shows their performance against an anonymized pool of industry data, and AASP can see where members need more support.
All they need to do is click a button to generate what can be up to a 100+ page report – that's well laid out, easy to read, and scored properly.
