victoria nguyen“First time my friend and I have tried Trinidadian and Caribbean food. We both got the jerk box, their Wednesday special. Great portions, affordable and good spice level. The owner was really kind and informative about the menu dishes. The jerk chicken had a nice smoky char and paired well with the seasoned rice and coleslaw. It was so sweet of the owner to give us chicken roti, he pre-cut it so we could share. It was so fragrant, hearty and flavourful. Great experience!”
Devin B“The best Trini (and by extension the best Caribbean) food in the East End. Authentic Trinidadian flavour in every bite. Everything on the menu tastes great. They aren’t stingy with their ingredients either. Their Oxtail Soup has plenty of Oxtail in it unlike many other places that will only give you 1 small piece and bones.”
Krystal Christine“By far the most authentic Trinidadian food I've tried in the city! I ordered a corn soup along with my Sunday meal and everything was made to perfection. The flavours and spices brought back great nostalgic memories 😊”
Chris Allen“This place is such a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Everything on the menu is delicious, the portions are generous, and it’s very affordable. Standout items for me are the doubles, oxtail, and especially the aloo pie 🤤. The owner, Amar, is a lovely guy, and was very kind to a Trinidadian friend of mine who is battling cancer. She came all the way from the other side of the city to try Island Blend, and was not disappointed. Thanks, Amar! ❤️”
